Another fun fiddle tune with slurs and cross bowing and double stops. I’m getting better but it still doesn’t feel natural and I won’t be improvising anytime soon.

I have one more tune in the video exchange, “Elk River Blues”and one final song, “Ida Red” before I’ll be moving on from Artist Works and Brittany Haas.

I found a better price for both fiddle and mandolin lessons a Peghead Nation so I’m excited for structured learning on both instruments????

I have found it difficult, living in Hawaii????, to find the right teacher????‍???? that fits my tight schedule. So… I found an online course by Brittani Haas, Old Time & Bluegrass Fiddle????. I’m slowly working my way through it so I don’t think I’ll be starting Suzuki Book 2????any time soon.

I have returned my Yamaha student????‍???? violin rental and am using my Suzuki No. 3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣… the electric⚡️ violin is great for quiet???? practicing.

I’m also learning how to play the mandolin since the tuning is the same as the violin???? Yay!???? I haven’t built up calluses, on my fingertips, so playing chords is still quite painful???? I just purchased an electric mandolin???? that looks like a mini Strat (only 2 pickups).

I still live in a noisy environment… wife????‍♀️, son, mother-in-law????, a dog????and 6 cats???? in a 2 bedroom apartment????
