In this Flying Whales guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this amazing song by Gojira note-for-note.

The tuning is D standard tuning. That is, starting from the 6th string, D G C F A D.

The lesson starts with an in-depth look at the intro. There are multiple guitars being played here and through watching live footage it seems they are also using a whammy pedal for the higher octave parts. This is fully explained in the video. I will show you how they play those higher parts but also how you can play them if you don't have a whammy pedal.

After that, we get into some serious riffage with killer octave based riffs, tremolo picked riffs and more.

The most difficult part of the song by far is the gallop section. What makes it difficult is not necessarily the speed the riff is being played (although that is challenging as well), but instead, memorizing the variations of the riff before the vocals come in.

I will break down that gallop section in a way that I hope will help you memorize it quickly.

Have fun learning this killer song from Gojira! Carl...
