Golgotha, also known as "The Place of the Skull," is the sacred site where Jesus Christ was crucified for the salvation of humanity. Located just outside the ancient walls of Jerusalem, this place holds deep significance for Christians around the world.

According to the Gospels, Jesus carried His cross to Golgotha, where He was nailed to it and suffered immense agony before surrendering His spirit to the Father. His sacrifice on this hill fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament and opened the way for our redemption.

Today, Golgotha is enclosed within the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where pilgrims come to pray and reflect on Christ’s passion, death, and resurrection. Many touch the rock beneath the altar, believed to be the very ground where His cross once stood.

Standing at this holy site, we are reminded of Christ’s boundless love and His victory over sin and death. Golgotha is not just a place of sorrow—it is where our salvation was won, and where the hope of eternal life was given to all who believe in Him.
