Good Harmonica Practice - All 10 Holes on the Harp

Sometimes you don't really have to play anything in particular to practice an instrument.

The harmonica is a difficult instrument to learn in that you can't see what you're playing. The instrument is tucked in at the front of your face, with your lips covering the actual holes you're playing. If your ears aren't trained to know which pitch is which (like me), you'll have to get used to feeling the changes in position with your hands.

To get used to knowing the hand positions and start learning the pitches, it's enough to practice all 10 holes. Count your way up, count your way down. Make sure you're counting to 10 in each direction. If you get to more than 10, you played a hole more than once. If you get to less than 10, you've skipped a note.

Keep going back and forth until you can hit every hole and get a clean sound from each hole.
