Nile Rodgers is a legend, so good at the guitar. His guitar work on this song is legendary and that is exactly what we are breaking down. The strumming is the back bone of all of this and we will take a deep dive into it literally strum by strum, one 16th of a measure at a time, so you will know exactly how to play "Good Times" on the Ukulele in no time!

If you need a little extra help with strumming for this lesson or just strumming in general check this video out here, it will help you with 16ths https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6mFzrAXWRI

Nile Rodgers became famous playing rhythm guitar for the group Chic, but he is also one of the most famous hired guns in the history of studio work, with features including Diana Ross (Diana), David Bowie (Let's Dance), Paul Simon (Hearts and Bones), Madonna (Like a Virgin), Cyndi Lauper (True Colors), Avicii (Lay Me Down), Daddy Yankee (Legendaddy), Daft Punk (Get Lucky) and many many more. He is actually one of my favorite musicians in the sense that I would love to be a hired gun, a session guitarist, like Nile or Jimmy Page. A guitar for hire has this really cool mercenary vibe to it, except it is peace, love and music instead of violence.
