“Grandfather’s Clock” is a song written in 1876 by Henry Clay Work. It is often performed in bluegrass jams and concerts. There are words to the song which are interesting—an old man’s clock served him faithfully, keeping perfect time; but when the man died the clock stopped, never to run again. Banjo players love the song because they get to make their banjos “chime” like a clock. Played in the key of A on a Deering Clawgrass 2 with backing track generated by Band-In-A-Box.
