Inspired by the themes of Factory International's upcoming show Figures in Extinction, the multi-talented wordsmith Griot Gabriel performs dearest Mother Nature – an original poem reflecting on the climate crisis and our role in the planet’s destruction.
The poem is performed in the Living Worlds space at Manchester Museum (@ManchesterMuseum).
Griot Gabriel is a Manchester-based spoken word poet and founder of spoken word night The Poetry Place (@thepoetryplace2045). A 2023 Factory International Fellow, he represented Manchester in the 2024 UNESCO Cities of Literature SLAMOVISION.
Figures in Extinction – an award-winning dance trilogy by co-creators Crystal Pite and Simon McBurney - comes to Aviva Studios from 19-22 February.
