Marcelo Alves is a Brazilian electric guitar player, composer and guitar teacher. He works as guitar teacher since 2001, teaches music classes, seminars, masterclass and workshop. Marcelo is graduated in Music by the Federal University of Mato Grosso – UFMT (Brazil) where he participated of a scientific research about music teachers education and music teaching, that made possible for him to publish scientific articles in international and national congresses in Education and Musical Education areas. He is studying for a master's degree in Portugal. He played with the Thrash/Death Metal @Menorah band in 2015 performing concerts in cities of Mato de Grosso and an international concert in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. In 2016, he played with the band @Antidemon (Death Metal / Grind), on the tour of his album Apocalypsenow in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
In 2017, they held three historic concerts in Cuba. Going through Santiago, Chile in 2016 the band performed the DVD recordingintitled Tormenterror released in 2017 by the North American Music RecordsVision of God.This same year the band performed concerts around Brazil in cities of Bahia, Goias, Para and Sao Paulo. In 2018 He released his first single of his solo work intitled War and Fight. War and Fight went into the Zona Rock Metal Fest Collection produced by DNXSound Records. This collection had musicians from Argentina, Colombia,Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil and Puerto Rico.War and Fight had a video clip recorded in the Nation Park of Chapada dosGuimaraes – Mato Grosso – Brazil. The video was directed by Jeferson Prado.

Reflejar el Pasado is the second single of Marcelo Alves released in 2019.Reflejar el Passado got into the Symphony Guitar Brazilian Collection – Edtion 04. This collection includes Brazilian guitar players.In 2019 He played with Antidemon in a 25-year anniversary celebration touraround Europe. The band performed in Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany,Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Norway, Italy, France, Spain

He is currently working on consolidating his career. Publicizing theparticipations in concerts, on tour, songs and guitar lessons. He has beenfinishing his album “Quialtera” and working on releasing his didactic book forguitar studies.
