I didn't look into it, but I bet Layne Staley wrote the riff to Mad Season's I Don't Know Anything. I have come to this conclusion because it is A) simple, B) weird, and C) most excellent. Also he plays guitar on this one when they played it live and is responsible for the harmonics. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
