In this video I show you how to play the bass line from red House by Jimi Hendrix. In the 'Are You Experienced' version of Red House, Noel Redding plays the bass line on a detuned guitar. This leads to an interesting bass line that is based on a classic Blues riff you would usually hear played on a rhythm guitar.

I discuss the mysteries surrounding Noel Redding's bass line and also show you what Noel played when he used a bass on the live versions of Red House.

This bass video tutorial is suitable for absolute beginner bass players through to intermediate bassists.
