Here’s a great tip for practicing your high notes/upper register. I’ve mentioned this before and it’s worth repeating. Keep the volume the same and avoid forcing air through the instrument. This is especially common in younger players. Find a way to get to the next note without forcing air through. I like to practice at about a mezzo piano dynamic when I’m working on range.
