Dee MC presents "JUMLA" - a conscious hip hop anthem aimed at making the audience realise the facade behind politics and the need to be more aware of what's happening in and around them. The literal definition of Jumla translates to 'false information', and it surely is the era of false prophets.

On stage with her are Tee J, Killachoc, Alka and Aakash. A prominent face in the Indian Hip Hop scene, Dee MC is a storyteller at heart who pens her emotions through rhythm and poetry. She started her journey in 2011, having achieved multiple feats including featuring in the movie Gully Boy and being one of the squad bosses on MTV Hustle Season 2. Her music aims to empower women, challenge the existing socio-economic system and talks about the importance of taking care of one's mental health. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
