Honeysuckle Rose is a fantastically swinging Jazz standard from the swing era by Fats Waller. The Honeysuckle Rose Django Reinhardt rendition also became very popular.
In today's Honeysuckle Rose guitar lesson I'll show you how to play the guitar chords and the melody together, also known as a chord melody arrangement for solo jazz guitar.

I'll show you everything note for note, slow and easy, so you can follow along. It's best to follow me along with your printed Honeysuckle Rose guitar tabs. You can download the tabs from the link in this info box. YOu can also purchase the Honeysuckle Rose backing track to play along. There is a backing track at regular tempo and one at slow tempo in the package.

The Honeysuckle Rose guitar chords are really not that hard to play. Although the whole song is uptempo, it's kinda easy for a jazz chord melody arrangement. There are many repititions. So once you know the two main motives, you can easily play the whole song. The Honeysuckle rose jazz guitar chords and the melody are woven together in a way you can perform this song alone, without a band.
