For the month of February (Black History Month) I want to showcase some of the bass players that have contributed to why I play the way I do. Maurice Fitzgerald is first on this list. When I first started playing bass as a teenager I would read the credits in the cd's and the majority of them had him as the bass player. Surely this man was doing something RIGHT is EVERYONE used him. So I listed to everything and tried to imitate him from his tone to his playing style. To this day he is THE MAN! Maurice Fitzgerald, I honor you sir!
