Hi everyone! It's been a really long time since my last upload!
One of the most challenging things on any instrument is picking up completely new techniques - I know I struggled for along time learning how to slap and pop on the bass. Slapping may seem intimidating at first but if we break down the steps, any one can do it!
As you may or may not know, I went through a 'self-taught' journey on the bass guitar and had to pick up new techniques by myself. I hope this video can shed some light on how I went about learning how to slap and pop, and hopefully it can help anyone who wants to start SLAPPING DA BASS but isn't sure how to start!
Time Stamps:
1:04 - Step 0: Learn the basics
1:56 - Step 1: Observe and copy
3:25 - Step 2: Exercise
4:40 - Step 3: Time, practice and patience
5:48 - Step 4: Playing songs
6:48 - Step 5: Keeping slapping da bass
