Here is how to build a smooth Single Strokes around the drum kits!!! It's a combination of Double repeated pattern (Double Strokes).

Here's my advice,
1. start by practicing this on a very slow pace
2. Practise with a Metronome
3. Be patient (don't be in a hurry to increase the pace / tempo on your metronome)
4. Gradually increase the pace! either in TWO'S, FIVE'S or TEN. it all depends on how comfortable you get at it per time.
5. Always remember it's ACURACY OVER SPEED NOT SPEED WITHOUT CONTROL.
