What’s going on everybody welcome back to a new drum lesson! My name is Simone and I’m here to help you improve your funk drumming skills!

In today’s lesson, I wanna show you how to create a linear funk groove.

So basically linear funk is a different approach to playing funk in which we are not going to play the hi-hat, the snare drum, and the kick drum at the same time.

I think that this is a cool groove that can help you to start playing in a linear way and if you are a beginner funk drummer you will be able to play it with some practice!
