I do NOT like the secondo as I find the metal bar just slips and slides and doesn't feel as stable and falls of the violin. Just my personal preference and experience with past students having constant issues with this one.
Don't bother with the cheap ones that either come with the violin, or are around $10. They are garbage. They will constantly fall off the violin, not be stable and not really do the job. Invest a decent one like the one above, or similar.

Fiddlerman violins are the only violins I currently recommend. You can choose the violin to suite you depending on your budget. Remember the cheaper you go (buying rubbish from Amazon for example), the worse the violin will be (garbage most likely) and the HARDER it will be to learn - which is why Fiddlerman violins are an excellent beginners choice:
