Eyup FretHeads! In this video, I'll going to show you a nifty hack for navigating the guitar fretboard by using a bunch of mathematical equations. I'll show you how this math trick enables you to find the same guitar notes on different strings by subtracting 5 from the fret number and how to find the same note an octave higher by adding 7. I also explain how this hack can work with open strings or any fret position and provides some exceptions for the G and B strings. Taking this concept further, I show you how to stack these notes and use them in different positions on the fretboard. This hack is a super useful tool for memorising and locating notes on the guitar fretboard.
