If you take a piece of the corrugated hose, hold one end, and whirl it fast enough to keep both ends open, it will sing beautiful, clear musical tones. Why? A centrifugal force sucks the air in at one end near your hand. As the airflow moves through the hose, it bounces off of the corrugations and generates sound. If you swing it faster, it will sing higher notes. Try it at home! ????
