#polymeter is when it sounds like there are multiple “meters” happening at the same time.True polymeter doesn’t really happen to often in music. It more like a feeling, because the musicians are still only thinking in one meter, then they’re displacing the accents to make it sound like another meter is happening at the same time.#polyrhythms and polymeter are also often confused…
