How to play The Mama & The Papas CALIFORNIA DREAMIN' - guitar TUTORIAL

In this acoustic guitar tutorial we look at how to play the classic The Mamas & The Papas - California Dreamin'. This is a great strumming song with an interesting melodic intro.

This song has an excellent definitive picking intro and a chord sequence that cycles throughout the song.

The chords in this song are Am, G, F, Esus4, E, C, Asus2, E7sus4 & Fmajor7. All open chords (If you don't have your F barre chord yet I have given 2 alternatives that are easier to play).

There is one strumming pattern throughout. It's a mellow-paced, easy-going rhythm that will come in useful for many other songs.

I have included chord charts, rhythm charts, chord sequences and tab for the intro plus slowed down versions of everything whilst you het to grips with the sections.
