"I know how many corners a circle has"
Hey everyone! Here's the full album music video for my semi-live semi-improvised one-take musical comedy spoken word slam poetry album!
Tracklist:
1. Flying on the T.V. (0:13)
2. Things are fine I think, therefore I am (5:15)
3. That is not enough for a novel (9:43)
4. Finish your sentence but still don’t go to prison (13:54)
5. Chicken tenders at an elevated price (16:05)
6. I would never in a million years (20:29)
7. Jeremy Ferris Wheel: Inventor of the Ferris wheel (23:21)
8. I need the fog to go away immediately (27:40)
9. If I were six inches tall (31:00)
10. Track ten (34:20)
For this album, I wrote all the music between 6 PM on 12/12/24 and 2 AM on 12/13/24, then tracked piano and bass in the early afternoon on 12/13 each entirely in one take (the first take, so one and done, no redos!), then I tracked drums also in one take and one take only that night, and then finally I improvised spoken word poetry in one take (the first take) to finish it off at around 12 AM on 12/14 in the same session. I didn't plan any of the spoken word "poetry" ahead of time, and on my music stand I had the sheet music so I could follow along, as well as my phone with a random word generator in case I got stuck and needed something to work with. Sorry about the glitches here and there, there was something wrong with the session after everything got tracked but I wasn't going to go back and redo it since I wanted my first takes of every part to be what ended up in the final version. Enjoy!!
