Unfortunately the world never got to hear Pat Ramsey play in 3rd Position as he never really tried to learn it. BUT....What if he had? Using what I know about Pat, Pat's playing and his musical approach to the harmonica today we will be exploring the concept of: "What If Pat Ramsey Played in 3rd Position". I'm using a "C" Hohner Crossover harp customized by Tom Halchak of Blue Moon Harmonicas both in 2nd position (G major/2nd Position/ Cross) and in D Major (3rd Position).
Be sure to visit all the important prerequisite and related videos linked below on Pat Ramsey, the mixolydian mode, the "mixed up lydian" and Moveable Licks for a complete understanding and tutorial. Shout out to Timothy Graves for inspiring this video idea and the generous and beautiful PayPal tip while I was too sick to work. Thank YOU!
Jason
