I'm doin A LOT of 5th grade LANG. ARTS research! What do I want for my homeschool?

I've been having thoughts! Should I continue with IEW? Should I go back to TGATB? Or try something new altogether? There's a lot of things I need to consider for our homeschool next year, and I've decided that this homeschool mama NEEDS SIMPLICITY!!! Parenting teens is hard and I need energy to "fight the good fight!" So I'd rather give my energy to that, that to spend it all on teacher intensive homeschool curriculums, as fabulous as they may be! At the same time, I have an up and coming 5th grader who is a JOY TO HOMESCHOOL! She's full of enthusiasm and wonder.....I want to enjoy these years with her and fan those curiosity flames. Maybe I should focus there!
Come brainstorm with me for the 2024-2025 homeschool year. I've watched so many youtube videos on these homeschool language arts curriculums, as well as the websites.....my head is spinning....BUT...I thought you might interested to know of some of these homeschool gems I've run into. And maybe in my ambiguity, you'll find that you are not alone in the homeschool planning and curriculum research "squirrel" syndrome! ???? FOCUS!
