Mention the words “guitar solo” to most people who do not play guitar and they will likely conjure up thoughts of famous bands who have songs with guitar solos like; Van Halen, AC/DC, or some other well-known group that every person on the planet knows about.
However, the words “guitar solo,” are thought of quite differently to a person who does play as oppose to someone who does not. As a guitarist, your knowledge of guitar soloing will be impacted greatly by your exposure to what you’ve done in your past training.
A guitar solo (to a guitarist) has a lot more to do with geometry and technique rather than with famous people. In fact, knowledge of theory, scales and the fingerboard is what influences the way that a guitar player thinks about the notes and the techniques used to play a guitar solo.
In this lesson, I’m going to show you an excellent way to incorporate a guitar solo all over the neck and overcome the technical roadblocks of playing all across the guitar. The system that I have for you is perfect for functional playing and it makes a big difference when it comes to overcoming position playing
