Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, born on April 16, 1971, in Lake Jackson, Texas, was a groundbreaking Mexican-American singer known as the "Queen of Tejano Music." She began performing with her family band, Selena y Los Dinos, at age 10, and achieved her breakthrough with her 1992 album "Entre a Mi Mundo," featuring the hit single "Como la Flor."
