In the final film of the series, 'In search of form' took its initial inspiration from a piece of music, the Helge Lien Trio's 'Gamut Warning'. From its first hearing I had a strong sense of a structure being explored. The music followed me around as I struggled to find a suitable form to examine until, on a holiday to the Suffolk coast with friends I came across Maggi Hambling's captivating sculpture, 'Scallop'. Over several days I was drawn back to it, at different times of day and, in varying weather conditions, to get to know it and its relationship to setting and context.
