The drum sheet of this lesson contains a series of exercises about feet movement control of bass drum and hi-hat pedals.

You should put in the study of legs and feet tecniques as much effort as you put in the study of hands and wrists tecniques.

Bass drum and hi hat play a basic role in drumming, they mark the main accents and are the reference point to every other instrument. The motion of the lower limbs is generally more repetitive, so -besides developping speed and endurance- remember that coordination and independence are even more important to extend your expressive creativity.
In the drum sheet, bass drum and hi-hat pedal strokes are respectively represented by a note and by a cross, in the lower part of the score.
