http://www.vladtv.com - During a recent sit down with VladTV, Jackie Long spoke on securing his role in the 2006 drama 'ATL' and the film becoming a cult classic.

The well-versed thespian experienced an unconventional audition. He reveals that his friendship with producer Dallas Austin led to an unexpected meeting with the film's writer, Tina Chism. Since Chism "took a quick liking" to Long she then introduced him to director, Chris Robinson. Long reminisces, "I had an audition for him at his house on the balcony. And then didn't hear nothing for about another year or so."

After earning his spot, Long goes on to detail how he believed the movie would become a cult classic. He compares co-star T.I.'s performance to that of other MCs, like Tupac's performance in 'Juice' and Ice Cube's in 'Boyz n da Hood.' He offers, "Once I got the background of T.I. that's when I was like, this is going to be a classic movie. Because I like the way how T.I. is playing his role in the movie. And I like the whole story."

Watch the full clip to learn what Jackie says about his other early movies, 'Love Wrecked,' and 'Idlewilde.' Long also speaks on Lil Wayne coming around the set to visit Long's costar Lauren London, who was dating Weezy at the time.
