JANUS is an ancient age old folk lore character - a sort of demi-god often represented, traditionally, looking back from the old year just departing - towards the new year ahead. Often shown with 'two heads' one older and the new youthful face to the other side.
This minuet written on last day of the year [ 31st December] is part of a growing collection of minuets 'in mass' [ a project still ongoing into the new year]. It is in actuality number 61 [the 61st minuet tune] in the series so far written; which is being added to continuously.
