http://www.vladtv.com - Jasmine V's cache of artistry includes modeling, acting, and most notably, singing. Recently, the emerging star spoke extensively with VladTV; this exclusive clip details how the beautiful musician got her start, how it was like working with Dame Dash from a young age, and how she once saw a popular MC catch on fire.

Jasmine, who recently scored a feature from the illustrious Kendrick Lamar for her track "That's Me Right There," recalls that an appearance in a beauty pageant while she was a mere child helped to instill an enduring love of the spotlight. The "Werk" songstress says she loved acting and modeling but never pictured herself being a singer, and it wasn't until she met her manager Gabby at the age of 11 that she started taking her singing career seriously.

Being armed with passion, talent, and determination has prepared Jasmine against unforeseen challenges. One of those challenges was butting heads with her former boss, Dame Dash, who signed her when she was 12. At the time, Dash was confident that Jasmine should undertake an "indie" route whereas she stood firm with wanting to embrace a Pop/Urban lane. Guarding her dream, the "Cool Girl" then revealed, "I stuck with what I wanted to do."

Soon, a reflective Jasmine shares her gratitude for the work that Dame Dash invested into her career and added, "I always appreciated him for even believing in me at such a young age."

After speaking more on working with Dame Dash, she closes out the clip by relating a story about the time she saw Cam'ron accidentally catch himself on fire, and says her cat recently befell the same fate. She also clarifies that while she was at one point signed to Sony/Epic, she's now with Interscope.
