Spanish-born Berlin local Javier Jogares sits down in the studio with Kaarel to collaborate on a couple tracks that would come to be the ‘Something Behind the Beauty EP’. Their collaborative sound is a warm blend of darker atmospheres and captivating grooves, taking listeners in many directions.
The title track immediately fills the room with a great ambience. The slow and steady build is beautifully executed, teasing a beautiful melody while the pads rise and the percussion thickens. ‘Something Behind the Beauty’ is definitely a big track, and it elegantly sets the perfect mood to pull it off stunningly well.
The second track is a little less epic, settling its kicks early on and lures us slowly into the night with more dark melodies and tense pads. A clear club track, ‘Another Story’ is driven greatly by its percussion and rhythmic synthwork and begs to be played on hot dancefloors in the dark.
