In this video I analyse a simple jazz solo I created over the classic Duke Ellington number - Caravan!

00:00 - Solo analysis
02:17 - Full solo with no stops!

It mainly focuses on using the chord changes and simple syncopation! Something I advocate to all my students in my Patreon and coaching program!

Try and practice using just chord changes and syncopated rhythms.

You could try Louis Armstrong hot 5 type rhythms
You could try rhythms to your favourite jazz standards, I've got rhythm, Honeysuckle rose...
Or, why not try the rhythms to your favourite bebop head!

It's great practice and really helps you to sound super melodic as you are always playing the changes!

I hope this short video helps you guys.
