A blow-thru of the Chinese JDR harps - the Ninja and the Gentle Monster. Both are responsive and well-constructed, but both (that were reviewed) also have tuning issues. Of the two, I prefer the wooden-combed Gentle Monster; it has a brighter tone and is more responsive than the round-holed Ninja. Both are pretty big, quite heavy harmonicas, and both cost around $40. Absent the tuning problems (which might not be universal), the Gentle Monster is a pretty good harp for the money. I'm not crazy about the Ninja, my Chuck Norris VHS collection notwithstanding.
