Here's a truly GREAT spoken word song. It was written by a guy you've likely never heard of. David Olney had a long career as a songwriter and recording artist but never got to the level of, let's say, John Prine. But he wrote my all time favorite spoken word song. Here's my cover of Jerusalem Tomorrow. It's the story of a con man who gets unwittingly set on the road to righteousness and redemption. I hope you'll take a few minutes to listen to it.

David Olney would perform this song with just solo acoustic guitar. For my cover, I've added just a little bit of bass guitar, keyboard and very a very minimal horn section.
