Johnick & Di Saronno - Maynard Street [Industry Standard]

Next up on Industry Standard we’ve decided to open up the doors and welcome some new artists for a new Various Artists series titled ‘Bits ‘N Bobs Vol.1. We have 4 tracks here from producers that are all friends with Oliver, and Oliver Dollar features on one himself.

First up we have New Zealand resident Dick Johnson. Having been a mainstay on the House & Deep House scene for well over 2 decades he has released on labels such as Play It Down, Paper Recordings & Shaboom. His track ‘I Can’t Help Myself’ is a low-slung house affair, with a live bass, soulful vocal snippets, and jazzy chords.

On track 2 we welcome Johnick, co-owner of the legenday Henry Street Music label, and his frequent production partner Di Saronno. These guys have worked together on material for sometime and have delivered an energetic jackin house track with an infectious flute sample in “Maynard Street’.

Next up label owner Oliver Dollar, his Russian co-producer Lebedev and Detroit resident Mike ‘Agent X’ Clark on vocals deliver a disco string sampling track with ‘The Contest’. This one’s a peak time dancefloor killer, with Mike’s spoken word vocal setting the tone between the bigger stirring string moments.

Finally Hamburg resident Don Swing drops another jacking house track on ‘The Community’. Featuring cut up jazzy samples with Rhodes keys a plenty, this has a slightly more hypnotic groove for the late night crowd.

So we have 4 tracks from some dope producers, providing you with top quality dancefloor Bits ‘N Bobs. Enjoy.
