http://www.vladtv.com - VladTV sat down with Ky-Mani Marley and got his take on the legal troubles of fellow Jamaican artists Buju Banton & Vybz Kartel.
Marley first confirmed that his brother Stephen spoke on Buju Banton's behalf during his trial, and said the whole situation was very unfortunate. He also claims Banton is one of his favorite artists.
"It was a sad moment. We have this amazing, talented, spiritual, revolutionary artist...who do so much for the community back home. To have him just sitting and wasting away...what can i say, it's sad."
Ky-Mani also spoke of Vybz Kartel, saying that even now among all of his serious legal problems, he is still the top dancehall artist in Jamaica.
"He's very articulate, very creative...his whole swag and everything is so different and so fresh and a little outside of the norm. Even if it was about women or guns, the way he articulates it is something fresh and new."
When if comes to reports of Kartel snitching to get a lesser sentence, Marley says a few newspapers are reporting that, but word on the street is that Kartel is keeping his mouth shut.
