Learn the guitar lick used in "Green River", "Whole Lotta Love, "Pride And Joy", and many more. This is one of many riff and lick shapes you can find in my free web app "The Building Blocks Of Rock", available here:

https://guitarviz.com/bbr.html

It's just a web page, all you have to do is open it. Nothing to download, and you don't need to sign up for anything.

The first half of the video is an overview of this foundational lick. It's simple, but you can do a lot with it. It's also a starting point for other things to build on top of it, like other licks, one of which I'll cover in depth. You'll also learn more about the moveable versions of this lick, how it fits into scales and theory, and hints on how you can use it in your own playing.

I'll give you a high level overview of the solo in "Whole Lotta Love", cover all the fills used in "Green River", and I'll drill down deep into how I suspect John Fogerty actually played the intro of that song (it's not as simple as you might think!).

The second half of the video is a lesson on how to play this lick in "Whole Lotta Love, "Pride And Joy", and "Green River". All of the lesson is filmed up close, from the player viewpoint, and includes the pick hand.

Please leave any comments or questions. I do read them all!
cheers, Kevin
