‘Light’ a dadaist improv piece recorded last year that interplays with temple coordinates around the earth and the notion of the universal divine light. played on the midi as an improvisation of an unknown key. played, composed, and edited by moi, karenina. It is minimalist classical music with a synthesizer. “Dadaism was a movement with explicitly political overtones – a reaction to the senseless slaughter of the trenches of WWI. It essentially declared war against war, countering the absurdity of the establishment's descent into chaos with its own kind of nonsense.” Personally dadaism, for me, has helped me deal with my own personal lost of my land and the nonsensical quality that it means to come from the country with the world’s longest civil war, Colombia.
