Professional choral group Cappella Romana (Roman Chapel) planned a fundraiser with a live audience on 14 March 2020. When SARS-CoV-2 entered the Pacific Northwest, the fundraiser was switched to a virtual event broadcast from the Cathedral of Saint Mary in Portland, Oregon, U.S.A. The videographer was Adam Lansky.

Cappella Romana brings to life music that meets a deep human need, not only to belong and to have a shared creative experience, but to feel the full range of ethical, emotional, and spiritual effect as expressed through music. The vocal ensemble presents annual concert series in Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington, in addition to touring nationally and internationally.

Cappella Romana was founded in 1991 in Portland, Oregon The name of the group refers to the medieval Greek concept of the Roman oikoumene (inhabited world), which embraced Rome and Western Europe, as well as the Byzantine Empire of Constantinople ("New Rome") and its Slavic commonwealth centered at Moscow. The group is known for its exploration of Eastern Orthodox vocal music.
