Little Wing (Harmonica Cover)

Alex is at it again with another harmonica cover by request, this time busting out the iconic Jimi Hendrix’ song Little Wing.

Played in same key as both the Jimi Hendrix’ and Stevie Ray Vaughn’s original versions of the song: Eb minor / Gb major.

Paclin tackles this on B harmonica, which plays Gb major (aka F# major) in 2nd position, which is enharmonic (meaning: it has the same notes as) Eb minor in 5th position.

Well before you check out completely, this song is a great example of why it’s such a high-payoff investment to learn the 2nd position major pentatonic scale, that I recently showed in my https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYQKEA76lOc video.

In the top octave it requires no bends. You can play this! Check it out:

On a C harmonica, this is BOTH the G Major Pentatonic scale AND the E Minor Pentatonic scale. Don’t get bogged down with all that jargon.

My point is that by learning this you’re actually getting 2 for the price of 1. ????????????
