I recorded this immediately after I wrote it, so as usual there are a couple of boo-boo’s.

I am guilty
of everything that I have done
confided my confessions
to the father and the son
I have lived my life in wonder
To discern all right from wrong
With a purpose for my penance
And the strength to carry on

Well I’ve been lonesome
But that don’t mean I am alone
For I’ve found freedom
In anywhere I might call home
There may be longing
But longing don’t last long
For I have faith in the hand that leads me
Down this path I’ve been travelling on
.
And I’ve got dreams babe
In the hopes they might come true
And in their own right
Well I guess they always do
But I’m holding on babe
Til sweet salvation shows the way
You’re either livin or you’re dyin
And that’s just the price you pay

Well I’m happy
But that’s a word I seldom use
Try to keep I it simple
With the consequences too
I have stood broken
Til common sense comes back around
Kept my sights on perspective
In the search for higher ground

I found Jesus
When I thought I was alone
