While discussing Erykah Badu's direct diss towards rapper, Iggy Azalea, during the Soul Train Awards last November, Lord Jamar recalls meeting Badu before her singing days when she was known as an emcee. Further into the conversation with DJ Vlad, the Brand Nubian rapper admitted that he's been criticized for sounding sexist with his opinions when asked his thoughts about Badu as a lyricist. "I don't really remember." He said, "I'm not into female rap, so I'm the wrong one to ask." He said he may listen to female rappers occasionally, but he wouldn't go out his way to purchase their album.
