http://www.vladtv.com - Actor Luis Antonio Ramos of Showtime hit series "Power" sat down with VladTV to discuss 50 Cent, his show being compared to "Empire," and much more.
Ramos starts off by saying the world knows 50 Cent, the rapper, but he and the cast/crew of "Power" know Curtis Jackson, the man. He claims Curtis is really just a kid from Queens at heart who has good people around him. He also says 50 is willing to learn from the more seasoned actors on the show like himself and Omari Hardwick.
When it comes to 50's jabs at Fox's show "Empire," Ramos feels they were all in good fun and simply got blown out of proportion and taken out of context. At the end of the day, both shows are great and he feels they have completely different themes. He also loves the fact that so many actors of color now have regular roles because of the two series.
See Ramos also discuss Black/Latino relations in NYC compared to other parts of the country, the portrayal of Latinos on-screen, and how he helps "Power" writers craft more realistic scenes for his character above.
