http://www.vladtv.com - Miami's own Luke sat down with a very attentive crowd and explained why he believes artists, especially within the Hip Hop community need not only to give back more but should become a bigger part of the political process to foster the change needed in the same environments that turned them into superstars.
Luke spoke of inadvertently becoming a part of the political process when he defended his right of freedom of expression over his music, which many viewed as crass and offensive. Still, he put much of his money up to defend himself in court several times, and eventually began to realize the amount of power those who are a part of the legal system have.
He also challenged several celebs, including Lil Wayne and Diddy, to become more involved in helping their communities on a more consistent basis and to promote certain positive ideals to their fanbases, as he feels their followings are strong enough to make serious changes if properly educated.
