Aalto is a strange kind of modular synth, with a West-Coast style complex oscillator and a very intuitive patching system.

While it can be used for pitched melodic sounds, where I think it truly shines is for experimental semi-generative music that takes on a life of its own when you realise it cannot quite be controlled in any predictable way. Like the patch I am playing here.
