How to easily memorize your 5 stroke rolls, 7 stroke rolls, 9 stroke rolls, 11 stroke rolls, 13 stroke rolls, & 15 stroke rolls on drums... A couple of extra things to consider. Once you have that number... you can also translate it to the rhythmic count... so a 9 stroke roll is 5 counts... instead of 12345... you can say 1E&A2

Also... Rolls that start and end with the same hand will alternate... Rolls that start and end on opposite hands do NOT...
