Many of you seemed to enjoy the anamorphic Bach excerpts I put up recently, so I thought I'd scout another example to share. I really had fun playing around with this Invention No. 8 in F-major, BWV 779 (ca. 1720-23) by J.S. Bach. I tried various combinations of meters and settled on playing the subject entries in 6/8 and the rest of the piece in 3/4, as written. This type of experiment requires a great deal of familiarity with the original, plus a lot of concentration!! I enjoy how this kind of experiment forces me to adjust my body mechanics and to hear Mr. B's polyphony in fresh, new ways!????????
