branches of violins
orchestras of emotion

as you both did at sunset'
Now only ashes on the floor
Branches fall at your door

Everyone wants a piece of you
As you write your lines
Floating across the paper
Emotions evoke time
He reads each word
All that you said
as you know the measure of time

along the journey of life
he you gave love
rhythm of his guitar
walk the halls of your rooms
It's cold inside
this space outside
what do they want from you ?
A love so new
Did you lose faith as he walked out of the door

Crows call across the evening sun
he searches for her in vain
years on he looks in the mirror
time lines on his face
a reminder of his deep emotional scar
recalls her grace
her gentle face
laughter in their eyes
once they walked
along the corridors of green trees
dancing as butterflies
imaginary aeroplanes flying towards the stars
No words spoken
words as weapons, spinning whirlpools
his demise

Burnt earth
Summer's vines
Big sky
Hole in his heart
So fragile
Dispersion of her photograph

he sits under the tree

Stops his car in a place
Streetlamp captures a face
He glances across at a woman
Nods and smiles
Through windows of space

A work inspired by the rugged natural landscape of forests and harbours, near to the South Coast, where I observe while researching and walking time and tide allowing. Time and space evoke emotion as well as the observations of people in the expanse.. this piece suggests the memory of a connection to another real or imaginary ( that is entirely up to you ) and the passage of a journey in time..
